If I could, I would,
envelope myself in darkness and emerge,
untainted,innocent and blissfully unaware of the cruelty and malice that plagues the world and its people,
with no regrets and no memory of the past and the mistakes.
Reality is that I live in this light,
It shines so bright,
There is no escape from the glare.
Perhaps this is god's plan for me to teach me humility.
All these do nothing to crush my soul,
Instead it makes me more determined, not less. |
